The McMullen Institute exists to share the significant contributions black women have made in art, activism, pop culture, science and more.

Our mission is to provide communal, immersive, memorial and expansive experiences and programs centered on black women.

We strive to bring black female voices to the center of museum experiences to educate the public while ensuring black women are seen, heard and valued.
